What does the quick inspection include?
In the inspection we read the fault codes, check the immobiliser reader, and check the key's functions and programming. Afterwards you get a clear repair recommendation.
Do you fix the fault the same day?
Often yes, especially for key, immobiliser or starting-system faults. After the inspection we'll tell you what the repair requires and whether it can be done right away.
The car doesn't recognise the key. Can you help?
Yes. We find out whether the problem is the key, the immobiliser system, the ignition lock, the key reader, the antenna or another fault in the car's electrical system.
The car won't start even though the key works. Could it be the immobiliser?
Yes. A no-start can be caused by, for example, a key-recognition fault, an immobiliser malfunction, a fault in the ignition lock or a control unit, or a communication problem between systems.
Do you repair ignition-lock and steering-lock problems?
Yes. We repair and diagnose electronic ignition locks, steering locks and related immobiliser problems for many makes.
Central locking or the keyless system doesn't work. Do you fix these?
Yes. We check the key, door locks, antennas, receivers and other parts of the locking system, and repair the fault where possible.
Does the car need to be brought in?
For most immobiliser, starting and locking-system faults we need the car on site for diagnosis. If needed, we can advise in advance on how to proceed.
What if all keys are lost?
In many cases we can make and program a new key even when no working key is left. At the same time we check the immobiliser and locking system if needed.
